Week 2 Tectonic Plates: Arabia Plate Boundary

Saudi Arabia lies within the Arabia plate with the Africa plate to the west, which is locate in the red sea with a portion of Somalia stretching all the way to the way to the Dead Sea fault. Since the Arabia plate is diverging with the African plate it is then converging with the Eurasia plate to the east. Because they are surrounded by a divergent plate and a Convergent plate the natural hazards that Saudi Arabia has between 1980 and 2010 were flashfloods and small seismic activities

  2. Good job on this post. Since Saudi Arabia is in the middle of two tectonic plates what are the effects. I heard that one of the major hazards that they have been seeing recently are floods.
